Our History

Chicago Case Company was founded in 1975 to solve a clear problem: professionals needed tougher, smarter protection for the gear they couldn’t afford to lose. From day one, Chicago Case built durable carrying and shipping cases for sensitive electronic equipment and industrial products, engineered to take hits in transit and still perform on the job. That original mission still drives everything we make today—rugged cases that move tools, equipment, and high-value products safely, securely, and without compromise.

In 2010, Chicago Case became part of CH Ellis, joining a case manufacturing operation that was already more than 100 years established. With the acquisition, Chicago Case was fully integrated into the same materials, processes, and quality standards that had defined CH Ellis for generations. The result was the rugged, military-style performance Chicago Case was known for, strengthened by deep manufacturing experience and long-term commitment under one organization.
